# What is an asset card

Each asset card stands for a character, scene, or prop that you use again and again in a video and want to keep consistent.

Assets are the characters, scenes, props, and other creative elements that you use again and again when you make a video and that must stay consistent. They may appear in many clips. In Moodio, each asset has its own **asset card**.
